This study aimed to energy dependence of neutron-induced fission cross-sections for some odd and even-A americium isotopes, namely 240,241,243,244Am, with effectively double-humped fission barrier are examined using optical and statistical model calculations considering different level density parameters (a) of Gilbert-Cameron Model (GCM). Factors that influence computed fission cross-sections different level density models, through both equilibrium and saddle point, Gilbert-Cameron Model, Enhanced Generalized Superfluid and Hartree-Fock-Bogo Liubov models, and saddle point, Enhanced Generalized Superfluid and Hartree-Fock-Bugoloobi, deformations, have been studied.

Our calculations have been compared with available experimental data adopted from the EXFOR data base. The level density parameter considered by the Arthur formula was found to be the best parameter used with the GC model and gives a reasonable agreement with experimental results. The calculated cross section of the GC model has also compared to the results of different level density models.
