University of Anbar School Organizes a Festival

 ‘Under the motto "We Ascend by Science, literature, and Art" and in the presence of Anbar University president, Prof. Dr. Khaled Battal Al-Najem, and his two administrative and scientific assistants   the elementary co-educational school of the University organized its annual scientific and artistic festival on the occasion of the Teacher's Day. The festival was inaugurated with recitation of Holy Quran verses and Al-Fatiha Sura was read to the soul of the martyrs of Iraq. Pupils of the school later performed some songs which celebrate the role of the teacher, his educational and scientific goals, and how he spends his life to teach, educate, and graduate generations of students on all levels and specializations. Pupils later performed a play which expresses the current situation of the children and their suffering during the hard conditions of forced displacement. The play earned the appreciation and admiration of the attendants. Anbar University president presented the University Shield to the school administration as a token of appreciation of its efforts to promote the teaching and educational level in Anbar Governorate. At the end of the festival Anbar University president inaugurated an art exhibition for crafts and handiworks by female teachers and pupils of the school. The festival was attended by soe of the colleges deans and a number of the directors of the administrative departments of the university presidency.
