The University ranks third in Iraq in the Round University Ranking (RUR)

The Russian RUR Rankings has announced the results of the world university rankings for the year 2024, where the University of Anbar has been ranked third (3) among Iraqi universities and ranked (928) among the world’s universities after it ranked ninth in the same classification last year. The Russian RUR Rankings adopts four main criteria: (education, scientific research, international diversity, and financial sustainability), and classifies universities into four main sciences: (medical sciences, life sciences, technical sciences, and natural sciences). This represents clear progress in the University’s performance, through following solid scientific plans aimed at developing the academic and research reality at the university, bypassing all the turning points it has gone through in previous years to move directly towards the goal of competing with international universities in all academic and scientific fields.

On this occasion, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Salih Al-Neda, congratulated all the university’s employees and students on this progress achieved in the university’s ranking within an approved and solid ranking such as the RUR ranking. His Excellency stressed that the development of the research and academic reality at Anbar University had a prominent impact on its obtaining the ranks. It is advanced in all international ranking, and it is evidence of the concerted efforts and effective integration between the leadership cadres in the University presidency and the deanships with the rest of the university’s members.
