Opening horizons of cooperation with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and the IPSAS Center

A delegation from the University of Anbar headed by Prof. Dr. Amir Abdul Rahman Hilal, Dean of the College of Engineering visited Universiti Putra Malaysia to open horizons of cooperation and begin work on a project to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two universities. The delegation was received by the Vice President of UPM University for International Relations, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology. The basic domains of the memorandum of understanding between the two universities to be worked on were discussed, and the two sides emphasized the need to exchange expertise and establish specialized workshops and joint research teams in scientific and humanitarian specializations. A final version was agreed upon that will be used to implement the draft of the memorandum of understanding between the University of Anbar and UPM. At the conclusion of the visit, the two sides exchanged souvenirs representing the two universities. 

 

 

On the other hand, representing the President of the University, a delegation headed by the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Obaid Jassim, visited the IPSAS (Institute for Social Science Studies) at UPM, which is a research center concerned with studies and research that link Islamic sciences with other social disciplines. The Dean was received by the Center’s Director who welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed explanation of the Center’s work mechanism. The two sides discussed the cooperation mechanism between researchers at the Center and researchers at the University of Anbar in the Islamic and social disciplines to conduct joint research in this field. The Center’s Director expressed her strong desire for this cooperation under the umbrella of the memorandum of understanding that will be worked on soon. At the end of the visit, the two sides exchanged souvenirs.
