Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Division

 

About:

Based on its vision of the urgent need for students and graduates to develop their abilities and skills in their fields of specialization or hobbies in order to compete and qualify for the labor market, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research decided to establish the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Division to help students qualify for the labor market and make their way in their careers with confidence and willingness.

 

Organizational Structure:

1. Communication Unit

2. Training Unit

3. Database Unit

 

Duties:

 

 1. Training students and graduates on the skills necessary to succeed in the work environment, which requires continuous updating of the offered programs.

2. Establishing strong relationships with employers to obtain the largest amount of training and work opportunities for students and graduates of the University of Anbar.

3. Qualifying trainees to set ambitious and realistic goals, make informed decisions, and design appropriate action plans to measure and evaluate performance.

4. Training and qualifying students with additional skills for the purpose of integrating them into the labor market by holding training workshops in this field.

5. Assisting in the employment of graduates by contacting private and government companies to find job opportunities that suit their aspirations and the academic experience they gained in their universities and the training experience in the divisions of qualification, employment and follow-up.

6. Coordination, preparation and holding job fairs in cooperation with private and government companies for the purpose of communication with these companies by graduate students.

7. Following up graduates during employment, identifying the strengths and weaknesses in their performance, and submitting periodic reports to their respective colleges regarding amending the curricula according to the requirements of the labor market.

Units:

 

1. Communication Unit:

This unit is concerned with communicating with private sector companies and international and local organizations registered in the Organizations Department of the Cabinet of Ministers in order to provide job opportunities and training and development opportunities for students and graduates. It is also concerned with communicating with graduates, following up their career development, and identifying their training needs to give a clear picture for the Training Unit to design training programs that keep pace with the requirements of the labor market.

 

2. Training Unit:

This Unit is responsible for holding courses and training workshops for students and graduates in line with the needs of the labor market in cooperation with colleges, departments and centers of the University.

 

3. Database Unit:

This unit is responsible for the alumni database, records of courses and training workshops, and data of companies and organizations cooperating with the Division. The unit also conducts field surveys of the reality of the labor market and the share of our University graduates in this market.
