An Instructor from University of Anbar Publishes a Research Paper in the Journals of the Nature Index

Professor Esmat Ramzy Al-Hadithi, the Head of the Department of Physics- College of Science, has published a paper in Scientific Reports journal, a reputable international journal that tracks the Nature index under the title

Preparation of novel B4C nanostructure/Si photodetectors by laser ablation in liquid.

This research paper is part of PhD student Salah Shehab Hamad's thesis, which is being supervised by Prof. Dr. Esmat Ramzy Abdel Ghafour. The research deals, for the first time, with the use of pulsed laser ablation technology in liquid to prepare B4C boron carbide nanoparticles (and boron carbide is a preferred material for a wide range of applications.

This experiment and this technique is the first of its kind in the world in preparing these nanoparticles and manufacturing a B4C/Si photodetector with very high sensitivity.
