Due to the openness of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at Anbar of University to the service and government departments in Anbar Governorate, and the activation of joint cooperation mechanisms with them, Assistant Lecturer Sulaf Taha Daoud, a researcher at the Centre, on Thursday, 7/3/2024, visited the Fallujah and Nazem Al-Tharthar project, for the purpose of obtaining data that serve the scientific process of the Centre, especially in building a solid database in all disciplines that serve research work.

During the visit, some data were obtained for the discharges and levels of Lake Thirthar, and how they are using the dead water storage for it at the present time, due to water scarcity.

Mrs. Sulaf was received by Eng. Mansour Fakhri Aftan, Director of the Fallujah Project Department, and Nazem Al-Thirthar, who praised this visit, and expressed his readiness to conclude joint cooperation mechanisms with the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre in particular and with the University of Anbar in general, in order to serve researchers in the field of water, dams and reservoirs, for the purpose of finding appropriate solutions to them and what they suffer from due to the weak water revenues, especially in the past recent years.
