A research team from the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre visits the Centre for Drug Addicts and Users in Anbar Governorate


In implementation of the strategic plan of the University of Anbar, and the plans of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Vision 2030, and self-building for man, and within the framework of the Centre’s relentless and serious endeavor to develop human capabilities. A research team from the Human Resources Development Department visited the Drug Addicts and Users Centre in Anbar province.

During the visit, awareness and guidance lectures were given on developing human capabilities, reducing the phenomenon of drug abuse, finding effective solutions to treat addiction and ways to immunize youth and society from this serious disease.

Assistant Lecturer Abdul Karim Ali Abdullah, a researcher in the Human Resources Development Department at the Center, gave an awareness lecture and religious guidance, aimed at self-building and avoiding the wrong things that may cause individuals to deviate in the field of abuse and addiction, in addition to reminding of its sanctity of legitimacy and staying away from bad people, who in turn may be one of the reasons for starting to abuse.

The Chief Researcher (Yasser Marei Nayef), a researcher in the Human Resources Development Department at the centre, also gave some medical instructions to the individuals present in the rehabilitation centre, in addition to ways to prevent symptoms associated with addiction, and adherence to the treatment plans developed by the medical staff to ensure that they reach the stage of recovery.
