Thanks and gratitude for the rehabilitation and operation of a climate station

Within the framework of the cooperation conducted by the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre with the Centre’s and colleges of the University of Anbar and in response to the request of the College of Education for Girls regarding the installation and rehabilitation of the climatic station of the Department of Geography in the college, Dr Atheer Salim Al-Mawla, one of the Centre’s researchers, was assigned to rehabilitate the above station and conduct a training course for the existing staff on how to operate and install the weather station and how to download and save data. The station was returned to service for the purpose of providing data and training students.

In appreciation of the efforts exerted by Dr. Atheer Al-Mawla, he received a letter of thanks and gratitude from the Deanship of the College of Education for Girls at the University of Anbar for his contribution to the restart of the system.

It is worth noting that within the strategic plan of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre and the University of Anbar to achieve the sustainable development goals within Vision 2030, several climate stations have been qualified and installed in various regions of the governorate, to document databases and study climate change and ways to reduce its effects.
