Professor Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the UEBDC at the University of Anbar, participated in the public scientific discussion of master's student (Reem Saad Anad) student in the Department of Dam Engineering and Water Resources - College of Engineering – University of Anbar. The thesis title was “Numerical Modeling of Sediments Transport Upstream of Al-Falluja Dam”.

The discussion committee consisted of the following gentlemen: -

1-    Prof. Dr. Sadik Aliwi Suleiman as a President.

2-    Ass. Prof. Dr. Rasool Mujbal Khalaf as a Member.

3-    Ibtal Ahmed Mouloud as a Member.

4-    Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel as a Member.

5-    Instructor Dr.Rafid Saadoun Rashid As a Member.

On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 9 a.m. and on the discussion Hall of the department. The study submitted by the student aims to develop a numerical model and assess its ability to simulate sediment load at the front of the Fallujah dam, as well as to propose a number of engineering solutions to reduce the amount of sediment. If this goal is achieved, this will help reduce time and cost typically. After extensive discussion by the discussion committee with the student, the thesis was accepted to an acceptable degree.
