The University of Anbar has achieved advanced positions locally and internationally in the Times Ranking of scientific disciplines. The University has ranked the first locally in life sciences, computer sciences, and engineering, and the third in physics in the famous British Times Ranking.
The International Ranking Unit at the University Presidency announced that the British Times Ranking has officially launched today the version of the ranking for disciplines for this year. It indicated that the University’s achieving these positions within the Times Ranking, which is considered one of the most important global ranking systems, was a result of the scientific plans followed by the University Presidency and direct support by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mushtak Talib Saleh Al-Neda, members of the University Council, and the staffs of all colleges and faculties of the University, for the work of the International Ranking Unit at the University.
For his part, the President of the University congratulated all the University’s members and scholars on the achievement of these positions and considered it a major scientific advance. Also, he stressed on the adoption of the highest scientific standards in education, the transfer of knowledge to students, and the use of modern technology to produce solid scientific researches. In addition, he urged the staff members, academics and scholars at the University to continue with integrated work and adopt the principle of participation and scientific cooperation among the academics at the University’s faculties. Moreover, he emphasized that the University Presidency will work to constantly develop its plans and provide unlimited support to guarantee the name of the University of Anbar the highest global positions.
