The most Important Issues Tackled in the Shared Scientific Conference between the Universities of Anbar and Salah al-Din

Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Abdel Saheb, and under the slogan (The role of modern agriculture in the development and prosperity of the national economy) and based on the common future vision between the two universities, the College of Agriculture at Anbar University, in cooperation with the College of Agricultural Sciences Engineering at Salah al-Din University, held the international scientific conference The first for modern agricultural technologies and on the hall of the Cultural Center at Salah al-Din University in Erbil. This conference is considered one of the academic conferences specialized in modern agricultural sciences.

The conference began with the recitation of a verse from the Holy Quran, then the Iraqi national anthem was played and the anthem of the Kurdistan Region. After that, a documentary film about Salah al-Din University was shown, followed by a speech by Prof. Dr. Fattah Saeed, President of Salah al-Din University.

Meantime, the President of Anbar University, Prof. Mushtaq Talib Al-Neda, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, delivered a speech in which he said, “It is my pleasure today to convey the greetings of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Abdel-Saheb, as His excellency congratulated the two universities for this good cooperation, which is the first fruits of constructive scientific cooperation that the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research intends to activate with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan region, emphasizing that University of Anbar is keen on constructive scientific cooperation with other Iraqi universities and that University of Anbar and within its strategic objectives is its entry into the world famous classifications through which it is able to re-evaluate the academic and research plans in a way that ensures the university keeps pace with the global scientific development and is able to provide efficient staff to the labor market. Indeed, the university was able to obtain advanced positions in important international rankings in advance of my thanks and gratitude in my name and on behalf of the affiliates of University of Salah al-Din University Represented by its President and Deanship of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences for the hospitality, generosity and magnificence of the organization.

A documentary film about Anbar University was shown and the speech of Dr. Abdul Fattah Abdul Razzaq, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Regional Government, in which he indicated that the exchange of scientific experiences in Iraqi universities is conducive to solving the problems that Iraq is going through in all political, social and economic fields and levels.

Then the speech of Professor Kawa Abdul Karim Saeed, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at Salah al-Din University, in which he indicated that the holding of this conference came after hard work over two years that culminated in the holding of the conference despite the difficult circumstances and obstacles caused by the Corona virus in the past period.

Prof. Dr. Edham Ali Abd, Dean of the College of Agriculture at Anbar University delivered a speech in which he said that holding this conference is one of the building blocks of joint giving between the two universities, which strengthens constructive agricultural work and is the first step to establishing life and that despite the spread of the Corona epidemic, the scientific process will not From here, we call upon researchers and agricultural staff to advance scientific research and produce the conference’s research with results and recommendations that are applied on the ground. Thanks and appreciation to the University of Salah al-Din and all those in charge of the conference.

Then the President of Anbar University and a representative of the Minister of Higher Education presented gifts to the figures present at the conference, and the conference shield was presented by him to a number of other personalities. The other is for the president of the scientific committee of the conference, Prof. Dr. Essam Khedeir Hamzah, and for Professor Dr. Edham Ali Abd, Dean of the College of Agriculture, and for the preparatory committees and participants in the conference.

After that, the conference ceremony was concluded, after which the scientific sessions would start in the halls designated in the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Salahaddin.

The conference was attended by Dr. Abdul Fattah Abdul Razzaq, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region, Chairman of the Education Committee in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Chairman of the Arbil Provincial Council, President of Salahaddin International University, and Mr. Ahmed Kani, official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Erbil.
