At the University of Anbar, a Team Manufactures a Repeated Load Testing Device

A team in the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering at University of Anbar managed to manufacture a repetitive loading test device with international specifications.  Assistant Professor Dr. Talal Hussein Fadel and Assistant Professor Akram Shaker Mahmoud, are both teaching staff at the College of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering and Hanan Rasheed M.Sc. Student in Civil Engineering. Within the study that was presented as one of the requirements for the fulfillment of a master’s degree for the student, where this device is subject to national and international standards related to the identification and evaluation of permanent deformation and other characteristics (the subject of the master’s thesis) in addition to checking the modulus of elasticity and the modulus of dynamic elasticity of asphalt materials under the influence of static and repeated loads under changing weather conditions. Which was manufactured locally in Iraq.

The manufactured device is characterized by functions and capabilities similar to those of international companies, but the manufacturing process saved a lot of money and effort in addition to the experience gained and as a result of manufacturing, this device with its distinguished specifications is the first that was manufactured locally in Iraq.

Thus, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Taleb Al-Neda, blessed these distinguished efforts made in this field, asserting that the year 2021 will be the year of applied qualitative research and modern equipment in the university’s workshop laboratories, where he ordered to grant those concerned with this matter an acknowledgement and appreciation of their efforts, hoping more prolificacy serving our dear university.
