The Assistant instructor Salah Sabbar Thmail, one of the researchers of Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Center (UEBDC), participated in a scientific research at the meeting of experts team on "Resource Efficiency in the Arab Region: Monitoring progress in achieving goal 12 and better reconstruction after COVID-19 pandemic", organized by ESCWA and the United Nations Program United Environment and the Arab League, via the "Kudo" application from 7 to 8 October 2020 from 12:30 to 15:30 Beirut mean time (9:30 - 12:30 GMT).

The researcher summarized his study on the recycling of debris in Anbar province, Mosul and Kirkuk and the use of debris in civil engineering works in burying the layers of the road pavements and in the manufacture of interlock as well as in the manufacture of curbstone, thus eliminating the environment from pollution and making debris environmentally friendly. Through this study, the researcher received thanks and appreciation from ESCWA for his active participation in all meetings of Arab experts.
