Three new scientific publications for researchers of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre


In a distinguished scientific activity, the University Printing House issued three new scientific publications from the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at the University of Anbar, completed by a number of the centre’s researchers and in cooperation with researchers of the university's centres and colleges.

The first version is: (Anbar Desert.... Sand of Gold) is a scientific book that includes several chapters and includes various scientific, agricultural, engineering, geographical and remote sensing techniques for the researcher by Prof. Dr. Essam Khudair Hamza, shared by a group of researchers from the university formations and in various disciplines, and represents a scientific encyclopaedia of the most important wealth in the Anbar desert region, its water and natural resources, the impact of climate change on it, and the possibility of investing it to reach comprehensive development.

As for the second version: (Heet District Databases) within the Heet database series, which is the first version of its kind according to the requirements of the World Bank for development indicators, it was completed by a group of researchers from the Human Resources Development Department, and the contribution of professors from the university formations includes statistics and databases on the manpower and the most important economic activities and infrastructure of the city of Heet.

The third edition included: (Medicinal Plants in the Upper Euphrates Basin), which was completed by a joint research team of researchers from the Department of Natural Resources Development and the Center for Desert Studies at the University of Anbar, which is a scientific encyclopaedia about medicinal plants in the Upper Euphrates region, their importance, qualities and spread, as these plants represent the future of the pharmaceutical industry and one of the pillars of development in the region. The three books bear the deposit numbers in the National Library in addition to the international serial numbers.
