Accordingly, this exceptional situation imposed a major halt in projects and programs planned by the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center, University of Anbar, the most important of which are:

1.     Affect the project of tourist production villages aimed at achieving jobs and stability is influenced by the investment of the Lakes coast of Haditha, Habbaniyah and Al-Thirthar for afforestation, the establishment of a model for environmentally friendly and self-producing electricity and renewable energy homes, and the establishment of a nature reserve targeting to achieve jobs, improve the environment, as well as agricultural and tourism investment that contributes to security and food stability.

2.     Affect the memorandum of understanding activation with the Ministry of Science and Technology for the use of radioactive isotopes (tritium- water isotopes) in order to investigate groundwater, assess its availability and assess the quality of surface and groundwater.

3.     Constraint the formation of research team to study the cultivation of pistachios in the Upper Euphrates Basin, a vital project that creates jobs and develops local production.

4.     The decrease in the activities of the center's laboratories, which provided laboratory tests for postgraduate students in addition to the financial returns of the university.

5.     The home lockdown decreased the continuous intense efforts to collect statistical database information of different sectors related to the governorate of Anbar that provides research work at the UEBD center and the university and is employed for future improvement plans.

6.     The low frequency of the work of the research team formed by the center and the province to solve the problems of water leakage on agricultural land and residential houses adjacent to Lake of Habbaniyah.
