Virtual international symposium of ESCWA


     Assistant instructor Salah Sabbar Thmail, a researcher at the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center (UEBDC), was participated by a scientific research  entitled (studying properties of debris and their use in paving layers and concrete construtions) in the international virtual symposium held by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (ESCWA) one of UN committees, entitled "Innovation in the New Normal After the Coronavirus and How to Revive Development Strategies and Confirm Action Plans" on Tuesday 21st July, 2020. This virtual web symposium target to policy makers, science, technology and innovation stakeholders, researchers and other key entities in the region on how to push their organizations to make informed decisions and policy advice on how and where to prioritize their services, projects, business plans and funding in the age of The Coronavirus and beyond, and to find solutions in improving the economic situation of the region by developing strategic plans in recycling debris from war remnants and making them environmentally friendly and thus eliminating the environment from pollution. He has participated in several UN meetings in Jordan, Egypt and Kirkuk University on recycling debris from remnants of war and using them as materials to bury tiling layers of roads.
