Study of the biological activity of a group of plant extracts

Due to the great development witnessed by the laboratories of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at the University of Anbar, in the completion of many research and studies, through the efforts of the centre’s research staffs of teachers with different scientific disciplines, it came within these research and studies, a research team studied the biological effectiveness of a group of plant extracts that were extracted in the centre’s laboratories, against five gram-negative and gram-positive bacterial types, Assistant Professor Dr. Muthanna Badie Farhan, responsible for the laboratories unit at the centre.

The research work of this research project is continuing to find out the biological activity to include the largest possible number of plant extracts against different types of pathological bacteria, for the purpose of preparing for a comprehensive study on the effectiveness of medicinal plant extracts against pathological bacteria, which can develop into the use of additional materials as nanomaterials that increase the activity of these extracts and note their effect on inhibiting the growth or killing of a number of pathogenic bacteria, and the study may include a molecular aspect in the future if available to the implementers of the research project devices and materials that help them to achieve, which comes within the centre’s development plans to achieve the goals of the strategic plan to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Vision 2030.
