Update of the weather, atmospheric instability and rainfall for Thursday, 11/1/2024

The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre – University of Anbar announced an update of the weather and the state of atmospheric instability and rainfall for Thursday, 11/1/2024.

Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mikhlif, a climate expert in the Department of Natural Resources Development, announced that, the impact of the highly effective Mediterranean depression on the northern parts of Iraq (rainfall and snowfall, especially on the mountainous heights) will continue after 8 am, and continue until night, which increases the possibility of strengthening dam reservoirs within the Tigris River basin in northern Iraq, while the early morning hours will be fog and a decrease in visibility.

As for Diyala province, it will be medium effective, with its exposure to thunderstorms and rain during the afternoon and it can also contribute to enhancing storage in the Hamrin and Al-Adheem dams, according to satellite images.

For the western parts (Anbar province), it will have a weak impact and the possibility of fog forming over the northern areas of Ramadi will also have a weak impact on the southern parts of Iraq.

As for the expected temperatures for tomorrow hopefully as follows:
