In line with the vision of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre and the strategic plans of University of Anbar in opening up to Iraqi research and executive institutions to enhance the university's role in community service, a delegation from the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar, representing a number of the Centre’s researchers, met with the participating research team from the National Centre for Water Resources Management of the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources.

During the meeting, the discussions of research projects were made related to water resources management and addressing a number of problems, especially in light of water changes and water scarcity, which crystallized around five themes or research projects that were agreed upon. During the meeting, they agreed on the names and specializations of researchers from the two centers, proposals and objectives of research, in addition to plans and mechanisms for completing these researches and studies. The joint research team also agreed to maintain communication and hold periodic meetings of the sub-research teams to follow up the completion plan according to the specified schedule and to address any obstacles or problems that may delay or affect the conduct of research and studies agreed upon.

The Centre’s delegation included Prof. Dr Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Centre, Prof. Dr Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed, Dr Ahmed Saud Mohamed, and Dr Haitham Abdel Mohsen Afen, from the Planning and Databases Department.
