 1-  Natural Resources Department: Natural resources of different kinds and names, whether renewable or non-renewable, are a very important item in the production process and directly affect the performance of the economy and its growth and the building of its civilization, so the University of Anbar, represented by the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Centre, has created the Department of Natural Resources Development. Its mission is to study the most important natural resources and how to develop and manage these resources and find the necessary solutions their problems especially in the agricultural sector and contribute to the development of life by benefiting from them in human development, natural resources are a natural wealth of high economic value in which invests will reveal individual and society with abundant good, if it exploits, for example, taking into account protection and development in order to sustain the flow of its goods.

2-  Human Resources Department: Since the development and progression of the capabilities of the human element is the basis for the advancement and progress of societies, University of Anbar, represented by its research centre, has begun to create the Human Resources Development Department, which study the distribution, quality and capabilities of human resources in the centre’s work area, the availability of the potential and conditions for the development and development of that target category in the study, allowing for a comprehensive visualization, opens the way to finding appropriate solutions to the problems of the labour sector in particular, and the community that supports it in general, as developed societies must have scientific insights that derive their success from educational institutions, and rules of action based on practical controls and laws that ensure that the individual and the institution can succeed.

3-  Planning and Databases Department: Data and information play a key role for decision makers in progressed and developing countries, and the validity of the decisions depends on the validity of the information on which they are built and be as correct as the information is and wrong as much as the error in the information on which the decision was based. If the decision-maker has accurate and correct information at the right time, then his decision is closer to right, and vice versa, if the information is wrong, then the decision is wrong and costly as well, accordingly, the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Centre has decided to open the planning and database department to keep pace with the development and upgrading of the centre and its scientific departments. Thus, the department seeks to determine the goals to be achieved for the centre and prepare future plans, databases, statistics and annual reports to achieve the best sustainable development within the Upper Euphrates Basin.
