The staff of the Haditha terminal station, affiliated to the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar, continues since the early hours of the morning the operations of monitoring and measuring floods in the western region, Engineer Juma Mohammed Ahmed, the terminal station's head, said that the strong floods as a result of the rains on the Zaghdan valley basin have washed away and destroyed a small bridge (Qantara) near the centre's measurement station on the valley near the Ramadi-Haditha road after the discharge of runoff event reached peak time yesterday to more than (200) cubic meters per second.

The floods have clearly receded in this valley, as well as Banat Al-Hassan valley, which recorded a discharge of (0.6) cubic meters per second.

In Horan valley, the station of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre near the Ramadi-Haditha road, runoff events were recorded with a discharge of (2) cubic meters per second.

At the centre's station on Al-Akhidir valley, which flows into the reservoir of the Haditha Dam, which was newly installed, it recorded a discharge of (50) cubic meters per second at peak time, and the intensity of the floods led to noticeable reductions near the existing bridges with some dredging of roads.

As mentioned earlier, detailed data on the toll of rain and floods will be published in future reports.
