A delegation from University of Anbar meets His Excellency the Minister of Water Resources

As part of the preparations of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at University of Anbar to hold the Second International Water Conference, a delegation of scientific and preparatory committees for the conference headed by Prof. Dr. Mushtak Taleb Al-Neda, President of the University, met with His Excellency the Minister of Water Resources, Eng. Aoun Thiab Abdullah.
During the meeting, an official invitation was extended by the University of Anbar to the Ministry of Water Resources to support the conference and actively participate in its activities. The Minister expressed his great happiness and appreciation for this invitation, which reflects the extent of the university's interest and long-term strategic vision that the issue of water is a national security issue and the issue of the existence of Iraq and Mesopotamia, and therefore it is an issue and an issue of concern to everyone, not only the Ministry of Water Resources, expressing his full and great support for the conference and that the ministry will have an active contribution to it.
For his part, the President of the University expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the Minister for the warm reception and support of the conference, stressing the importance of the university's role in opening up to all formations in the Iraqi ministries, especially the Ministry of Water Resources, as the issue of water has a priority in the university's future strategy to achieve its vision in sustainable development 2030.
During the meeting, it was agreed to prepare a memorandum of scientific cooperation between the Ministry and the university, which will have a significant contribution to the research centres at the university, especially with regard to research activities, conferences and other scientific events.
The university delegation included Prof. Dr. Essam Khudair Hamza, Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Prof. Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, Prof. Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed, and Prof. Dr. Abed Saleh Fayyad.
