((Very important)) Statistics for Seoul of the Western Region on 7/12/2022

The Planning and Databases Department at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre issued statistics of water incomes as a result of rainfall and runoff rains on 7/12/2022. The department stated that the amounts of rainfall in the centre of the Rutba district were about 2 mm, while the intensity of rainfall and heavy rain were in the upper Horan valley, southwest of Rutba, which could not be recorded and known, which calls for the need to install rain measures in these areas and possible in the areas of Rutba Dam, Horan Dam / 2 and Al-Abila Dam, as well as Al-Ga’ara 4, where it can be installed and followed up in cooperation with the teams of the resident engineer department for small dams in the western region.

The volume of storage in Al-Ga’ara Dam / 4 levels close to the design capacity of three million seven hundred and fifty thousand cubic meters, where the water level reached the level of the water flow and also in the Abila Dam on the branches of Horan near Rutba, the storage reached levels close to its design capacity of four million cubic meters.

In Hauran Dam/2, storage levels reached about one million cubic meters of its design storage capacity of five million cubic meters, where the storage was calculated through the design plan (level - area - volume) of the dam after determining the water level in the dam reservoir. At Rutba Dam, storage levels have increased to half the design capacity of 32 million cubic meters.

As for Horan within the city of Rutba, the maximum discharge at the measurement station of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre on the Horan Bridge in the city was 23.4 cubic meters / s and a depth of 1.2 m at the peak of the flood, while the volume of the runoff was about 912 thousand cubic meters, and this does not include the runoff stored in the dams above.  ((Tip: The above statistics were prepared in cooperation with the Department of Resident Engineer for Dam Projects in the Western Region, Assistant R. Engineer Ali Saleh)).
