Statistics of rainfall quantities and water incomes during the month of November – 2022


The Planning and Databases Department at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar issued statistics on the amounts of rainfall and water incomes at the centre's measurement stations in Ramadi (University of Anbar), Haditha City (Terminal Station) and Rutba (at the Horan Bridge, follow-up of Engineer Ali Saleh - Resident Engineer for Small Dam Projects).

Dr. Atheer Salim Al-Mawla, head of the hydrological station in the department, stated that the amounts of rain at Ramadi station during the period from 01/11/2022 to 30/11/2022 amounted to 31.6 mm, compared to 19.7 mm for the general average for the month of October for the data recorded from (1960-2010), 43.2 mm recorded in the same period in 2.18 and 17.7 mm recorded in 2019.

As for the modern station, 26.7 mm was recorded compared to 15.8 mm as a general average for the period (1960-2010) for the month of November, 64.4 mm during November 2018 and 15.6 mm during the same period in 2019.  Rutba station recorded 50.2 mm compared to 14.9 mm for the period (1960-2010) as a general average for the month of November with 49.3 mm in 2.18 and 17 mm during November 2019.

As for the quantities of water imports recorded in the measurement stations of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center, Dr. Ahmed Saud Mohammed, Head of the Planning and Databases Department at the Center, indicated the following:

Valleys (Hajlan, Zaghdan, Banat Al-Hassan, and Horan at the bridge - the intersection of Ramadi - Haditha Road) It reached 5,400,000 m3 (five million four hundred thousand cubic meters) recorded in the days 25-26 November 2022. Horan valley in the city of Rutba at the Horan Bridge in the city Water imports amounted to 235,260 m3 (two hundred and thirty-five thousand and two hundred and sixty cubic meters) recorded on November 30, 2022, and these figures do not include water imports that were stored in dams, whether Haditha Dam or Rutba Dam.
