On Wednesday, 3 February 2021, the Center for the Development of the Upper Euphrates Basin was honored by the visit of Prof. Dr. Muthanna Mohammed Awad, the university's assistant to scientific affairs. and was received by Prof. Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed, a respected and a number of members of the center.

During the visit, the departments and laboratories of the center were inspected, where the heads of the three departments and a number of teaching staff presented the research and future plans on which the center is conducted and presented number of projects that can provide the university and maintain the great material benefits, in addition to the employment of a large number of unemployed, and provided the market with local products high efficiency. Laboratory supervisors also provided the assistant with a detailed explanation of the equipment that worked and lost and needed maintenance, and the chemical stuff requirements of each laboratory.

In his turn, the assistant president appreciates the significant efforts of the laboratory staff and the role that laboratories play in developing research centers for the university and specialized departments, and provided his assistance in equipping laboratories with the chemicals they need. He was willing to support research projects that could contribute to the development of agriculture and soil and water use in the province. In addition to providing assistance to center’s lecturers to teach in colleges according to the field of expertise for each one.

At the end of the visit, Mr. Director and other staff at the center thanked the visitor for his keenness to follow the progress of the work at the center and to hear the most important obstacles and problems facing them during this period, and to provide them with the necessary support.
