Scientific symposium (overflow of Western colleges... financial, emotional, and motivational reasons)

Within the framework of Iraq's solid attitude on the Palestinian question, and in connection with the continued atrocities by the Zionist occupation of our brothers in the Gaza Strip, and with the increasing indignation in western colleges denouncing the Zionist massacres. Under the auspices of Anbar University President Dr. Mushtak Talib Al-Neda, the Center for Research and Strategic Studies hosted a lecture titled "The Flood of American and European Universities: Semantics and Implications." On July 5, 2024, under the supervision of Dr. "Thaer Shaker Mahmoud al-Hiti," the Center's director. Dr. "Omar Hamid Shukr, a researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies, spoke about the reasons for the spread of protests and sit-in demonstrations at American universities" during the first topic, "The flood of Western universities: reasons and motives." He listed several primary causes, citing the proliferation of videos on social media that depict the atrocities carried out by the Zionist organization on the Gaza population, which profoundly affected the spiritual well-being of young people attending American colleges.

The head of the Department of Future Studies and Crisis Management at the Center for Strategic Studies, assistant professor Dr. "Falah Mubarak Bardan," talked about the second axis, which was titled "The flood of American universities and the fragmentation of Arab universities: comparing roles and interactions." Dr. Falah Mubarak drew comparisons between the American university students' call to end the war on Gaza and the atrocities that the Zionist occupation is causing in Gaza and the almost complete absence of Arab university students. According to Dr. Falah Mubarak, the reason for this phenomena is that the majority of Arab regimes continue to impose security measures on Arab colleges and forbid protests in favor of the Gazan people. The Arab peoples accuse these governments of being inactive toward the Palestinian issue in general and the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip in particular, and because they fear that the situation would spiral out of their control. Dr. Falah Mubarak noted that because the Arab regimes have refused to end these demonstrations in Arab universities, the comparison between what is happening in American universities and the near absence in Arab universities is unprecedented in the Arab world.
