Dept. of Geography – College of Education for Humanities Sends the Higher Studies & Undergraduate Students on Practical Scientific trip

Dept. of Geography – College of Education for Humanities – University of Anbar sent  the higher Studies & undergraduate students on practical scientific trip to the town of Heet to view the industrial Sites and the Town Morphology .

          The higher studies students visited the site of Private Gypsum Factory which is considered one of the best ten in the world .

          Prof. Dr. Subhi ahmed Al-Dulaimi explained to them the reasons for establishing the factory and source of the raw materials which is called Calcium Sulfate  or Gypsum rocks and the way they are fragmented by gigantic crushers followed by burning them in ovens of 900 C .

          The students were taken to the Citadel of Heet where Prof. Dr. Abdulnasir Shahir Al-Rawi explained in details the history of the town , the nature of its expansion and the reason it was surrounded by the circling fence .

Nonetheless, on 5 April , 2018 ,Dept. of Geography;  using Remote Sensing Techniques , went on a scientific field trip  (a filed study  entitled Metrical Geomorphology ) to the cliff of Western Highland  to  the 2^nd stage students  who were accompanied and guided by the following teaching staff :
