 The public discussion of the master's thesis of the student ((Sumaya Abdul Sattar Meshhan)) Department of Chemistry - College of Science - University of Anbar took place on Wednesday 11/30/2022 in the Jaber Bin Hayan Hall for her thesis tagged:

 ((A study on effective adsorption of lead and cadmium from wastewater using magnesium oxide nanoparticles))

The study aims to prepare of nano-magnesium oxide by the green method using green tea extract and using the prepared oxide in the adsorption of lead and cadmium ions from one-component systems. Then, the experimental data of the adsorption process will be studied by:

·         Linear models of adsorption isotherms (Freundlich, Langmuir and Temkin) to show that Freundlich's model of the linear relationship was the most appropriate.

·         The kinetic models through which it was concluded that the false second order model is more appropriate than the false first order model.

·         In addition to calculating the thermodynamic parameters represented by (?G, ?H, ?S). through which it was concluded that the adsorption process is spontaneous and has a physical nature.

- The effectiveness of prepared nanomagnesium oxide to remove lead and cadmium  ions, from wastewater for the collected samples from the sewage stations of the city of Fallujah.
