A workshop for graduate students

 The College of Science at Anbar University, in Ibn Sina Hall, held a workshop for postgraduate students, entitled “Fake journals: The Story of Counterfeit Publishing Houses and How to Identify Them.” Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdel Karim Talak, a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry and prominent in the field of scientific publishing, lectured at the workshop.

The workshop aims to educate students about the importance of checking scientific journals before publishing their scientific research in them.
  The lecture was interesting and included an explanation of the concept of fake journals and the reasons for their appearance, in addition to the harm they can cause to researchers and the scientific community.
The lecturer also touched on ways to identify fake journals and how to verify the authenticity and quality of scientific publications. Important advice and instructions were provided to students about the steps they must take to avoid falling into the trap of fake journals and maintain their scientific reputation.
