Scientific lecture at the College of Science
As part of the scientific activities and in order to activate solid scientific publishing for researchers, the College of Science at Anbar University held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, in Ibn Sina Hall, a distinguished scientific lecture entitled “Writing a publishable and visual research paper,” presented by Dr. Mazen Abdel Mohamed, a lecturer at the College of Computer and Information Technology, who has extensive experience in the field of scientific research.
The lecture discussed the stages of writing a research paper, starting from the initial idea through to the publishing process in prestigious scientific journals.
The lecture highlighted writing and publishing scientific research in a professional manner, focusing on the conditions and standards that a research paper must comply with in order to be publishable and more attractive and clear to readers and reviewers.
In addition, Dr. Mazen explained the practical steps for writing a scientific abstract and how to present data and results in a correct and convincing scientific manner.
The lecture was attended by the Dean of the College of Science, the heads of scientific departments in the college, and a large number of graduate students and interested parties.
The session was moderated by Professor Dr. Ahmed Mishal Muhammad, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs.
The lecture concluded with a question-and-answer session, where students and researchers participated in a remarkable interaction and asked their questions about the challenges facing researchers in the process of scientific publishing.
