Chemistry Section Objectives

The department aims to develop knowledge in chemistry and communicate with the environment and society by preparing graduates capable of conducting scientific research and contributing to the chemical industries of the public and private sectors, in addition to the possibility of conducting chemical measurements of manufactured materials and everything that affects human life, such as water and air. The department also aims at the peaceful use of chemistry, the first of which is how to treat and dispose of toxic and dangerous materials. On the other hand, the department aims, through conducting research by professors and students, to prepare future leaders in the academic and applied fields.

Other objectives of the scientific department include:

1- Creating awareness and belief among the graduate in our nation’s cultural mission and its pioneering and historical role in the emergence and development of human scientific civilization. 2

2- To prepare a specialized graduate who is familiar with the theoretical foundations of basic sciences and their field applications.

3- Providing the graduate with the scientific experience required by the future field of work and informing him of the latest technical developments

4- Availability of qualified staff to engage in the field of university education in the future and who are capable of advancing the educational process in the various fields of science.

5- Qualifying scientific researchers who have the correct foundations for scientific research and development to be able to support the scientific and technical research movement in the country.

6- Qualifying graduates capable of absorbing and dealing with advanced modern technology and contributing to its future development.

7- Qualifying distinguished graduates who are able to engage in postgraduate studies to contribute effectively to science to solve complex scientific and technical dilemmas to develop other scientific and technical fields.

8- Instilling professional ethics in the hearts of graduates to avoid corruption and deviations that are consistent with professional ethics.
