A Memorandum of Understanding with the National University of Malaysia (UKM)

In harmony with the university’s plan to develop the research and academic reality permanently, the President of the University of  Anbar, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, signed an important memorandum of understanding with the National University of Malaysia (UKM), which comprised activating joint scientific research through joint research teams, exchanging of academic staff, training of students, and benefiting from the expertise of the researchers in order to produce joint scientific patents.

In harmony with the signing of the memorandum, the University President introduced an important presentation in which he explained the historical and scientific depth of the University and the advanced ranking of the University of Anbar in world rankings. His excellency praised the good hospitality and reception provided by the National University of Malaysia. 

On his part, the President of the National University of Malaysia presented a briefing about the university’s formations and their desire to cooperate with the Iraqi universities, explaining that the University of Anbar is the first Iraqi university, which signed a memorandum of scientific understanding with the National University of Malaysia, which is distinguished by its scientific and academic weight on the global and Asian levels. As it occupies advanced positions in important world rankings.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, souvenirs were exchanged between the two sides in the presence of the deans of the Colleges of Engineering, Computer Sciences and Information Technology, Islamic Sciences, the director of the Renewable Energy Research Center, the director of the Division for Students Affairs outside Iraq in the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, the officials of the World University Rankings unit, and their counterparts at the National University of Malaysia.
