An Academic Cooperation and Research Partnerships with the University of Lille

Within the framework of the official visit to France, the University of Anbar delegation, headed by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mushtak Talib Al-Neda, accepted the invitation from the French Embassy and the University of Lille, known for its academic reputation at the European level. The University of Lille consists of four specialized schools that focus primarily on the environment, health, energy, and computer engineering, in addition to five advanced centers for nurturing innovations. A brief presentation was given about the achievements of the University of Anbar, its strategic plans, and its position within the approved international rankings.

The visit included extensive discussions to establish sustainable partnerships that are in the interest of undergraduate and postgraduate students, in addition to activating the visiting professor program and increasing the number of research grants for Iraqi students in general and students from the University of Anbar in particular. The delegation also made a tour to the advanced educational and research laboratories at the University of Lille, where the possibility of linking our University’s researchers with researchers from the University of Lille was discussed. An initial agreement was concluded to hold joint discussion circles, leading to the signing of a memorandum of understanding that frames and enhances joint international cooperation.
