The United Nations General Assembly decided to choose the twelfth of February of each year as the International Day for Combating Violent Extremism that Leads to Terrorism. On this occasion, the Chairman of the National Committee for Combating Violent Extremism that Leads to Terrorism, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Budairy, congratulated the Iraqi people for having suffered from terrorism during the previous years. The decision came based on the recommendation of the National Committee.
