I received my BSc degree in Production and Metallurgical Engineering, with honored ‘distinction’ scoring 74.4% (1999 – 2003), and MSc degree in Metallurgical Engineering, with ‘distinction’, scoring 81.8% in 2012, from the University of Technology – Iraq.  Since 2012, I have been promoted as an Assistant Lecturer in Engineering at the University of Anbar– Iraq

I have recently obtained a scholarship from Iraq government (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – University of Anbar) to study and develop my interests in the field of energy materials and It is an excellent opportunity to consider as PhD study at University of Leeds

In recognition to my contribution to research and teaching, I was promoted to a Lecturer position in 2016. I have contributed to the teaching of the following modules; Engineering Drawing, Mechanical Drawing, Engineering of Metallurgy, Lab of AutoCAD and Lab of Metallurgy

In my academic role, I have been assigned for different roles and responsibilities, such as supervision on graduation projects (e.g., study the performance of Hydrogen cell) at the Mechanical Engineering department (2018/2019). Also, I served as a Head of a department at the Renewable Energy Research Center – the University of Anbar for the period 2012 to 2014. Currently, I am working on the “Evaluation and Statistical Modelling of HHO Gas Cell”, whereas I apply Response Surface Methodology RSM, such as the statistical tool for process optimisation. My research interests are in metallic foam materials, Al and Cu alloys, semisolid casting, Renewable energy and optimisation

I attended different pieces of training, including the Renewable Energy certificate of UMPEDAC Training Course 10th-21st December 2012, held at the University of Malaya Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have also participated at a UNDP WorkshopRoad Map for Energy Efficiency in Iraq”, 2nd-5th  December 2013, held in Amman, Jordan. Besides, I have completed the online training course “RE100: Introduction to Renewable Energy” on December 2014 at Solar Energy International (SEI). This course has raised my awareness of the importance of renewable energy and potential advancements for future. In addition, I have participated in other courses in Iraq like training Course “Modern Applications in Destructive Inspections” in 2009, at the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq
