The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre announces its forecast for the heat wave and publishes the concentrations of gas emissions

The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar announced its temperature forecasts for the next ten days, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mekhlif, a climate expert in the Department of Natural Resources Development, said that temperatures for Sunday will be high as shown in the graphs for all of Iraq, especially in the southern region, as for the central and northern region, there will be a slight moderation in temperatures, and during the next (10) days, there will be a refraction in the heat wave starting from On Monday, 24/6/2024, the moderation in summer temperatures continues as a result of pumping cold air into the upper layers of the atmosphere.

As for the concentrations of pollutants and emissions, according to satellite images, they indicate that they are moderate, as shown in the scale below 200 pppv (Particles Per Pollution Volume). While the concentration of nitrogen dioxide is clear in Baghdad, Najaf, Basra, Kirkuk and Erbil, while the concentration of sulphur dioxide is clear in Baghdad towards Najaf.
