The expected maximum and minimum temperature for the next (10) days, including the Eid period

The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar announced its temperature forecasts for the next ten days, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mekhlif, a climate expert in the Natural Resources Development Department at the Centre, stated that through satellites, weather forecasts indicate that after a slight refraction in temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11-12/6/2024, Iraq is the result of the entry of a cold air mass from the north, accompanied by some dust in the atmosphere, which reduces the severity of the Earth's receiving of solar radiation, as it will pass a wave. The heat is second hotter than the first wave and for two weeks and during the Eid al-Adha period as following:

Northern Region:

Maximum: 37 – 45°C

Minimum: 25 - 32°C

Western Region:

Maximum: 39 – 48°C

Minimum: 27 - 34°C

Central Region:

Maximum: 44 – 50°C

Minimum: 30 - 36°C

Southern Region:

Maximum: 45 – 51°C

Minimum: 31 - 37°C

As it is noticed through the expected temperatures that the humid atmosphere is the kindest in temperature than Erbil as a result of the common factors between them in terms of height and the controlling pressure system, and Basra and Nasiriyah will witness the highest temperatures during the coming period, especially if mixed with high relative humidity, as the weather will be exhausting, so it is necessary to take the necessary precautions to try to mitigate the upcoming rise in temperatures.
