Participation in the arbitration of the World Cup of University debates

Due to the scientific and academic reputation enjoyed by the researchers of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre, the Head of the Human Resources Development Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Yasseen Neda, was chosen to arbitrate the sessions of the University Debate World Cup held by the International Academy for Leadership and Development, and hosted by the University of Anbar on its theatre on 1/2/2024, for the teams of Anbar and Fallujah universities, Al-Ma’aref University College, Al-Huda College and Jannat Al-Iraq University College.

This important event came under the patronage of Prof. Dr Mushtak Talib Neda, President of the University of Anbar, who announced the launch of the World Cup for debates among Iraqi university students within the patch in Anbar province at the mother university, University of Anbar. Welcome to the representatives of the participating private universities and colleges, pointing out that this World Cup comes from the keenness of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to activate cultural and social initiatives and to develop and enhance cultural awareness among our dear students and from the perspective of increasing academic and educational maturity and allowing more dear students to communicate with their peers in private universities and colleges, stressing that everyone is a winner and there is no loser.

The rounds of debates were characterized by rivalry and very high competitiveness between universities, and they provided very distinguished competencies, which we hope will have an important role in the hopefully future, and the Anbar University team came in second place in these competitions to add the lead to the team of Al-Huda University College, after the two teams fought a decisive round. Congratulations to the winners and better luck to the rest of the teams.
