The possibility of snowfall in southern Iraq

Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mekhlif, a climate expert in the Department of Natural Resources Development at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar, announced through the analysis of the pressure level of 500 milibars and what the European weather satellite provides indicated that the southern region of Iraq will be under the influence of the polar depression during the end of this month and the beginning of next month (February 2024).

It is noteworthy that the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University of Anbar, within its program for studying climate change and preparing databases with high reliability, monitors, through its experts and researchers, climatic variables and landmarks continuously and issues regular bulletins on the most important of these changes.
