A qualitative scientific achievement

In a qualitative achievement, Dr. Haitham Abdul Mohsen Afen, a researcher at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at the University of Anbar, received a certificate of thanks and gratitude from the publisher (Elsevier), for his great contributions to open access journals, which plays a pivotal role in facing global challenges.

During the period from 2020 to 2022, the researcher published a total of two articles with Elsevier, both of which are directly related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as these researches were linked to three goals: the sixth goal (clean water and sanitation), the seventh (affordable renewable energy) and the thirteenth (climate action) that are concerned with addressing some of the world's most pressing challenges. Including access to clean energy, sustainable water management and combating climate change. By contributing to open access journals and aligning its work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which contribute to the promotion of global goals for a better and more sustainable future.

From this standpoint, the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre encourages researchers to publish in such fields in confirmation of the directives of the Presidency of the University of Anbar and its strategic plans within its vision 2030 to achieve the goals of sustainable development and the great role and clear effort of research centers in building a sustainable energy and environment.
