The volume of renewable energy (solar and wind) available according to the data of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre station

Based on the Centre’s plans and vision for achieving the goals of sustainable development and the directives of the University of Anbar within its strategic plans to expand the use of renewable and clean energies, and in continuation of providing important databases for researchers and postgraduate students, the Planning and Databases Department at the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre, in cooperation with the Renewable Energy Research Centre at the University of Anbar, issued data on renewable energy available according to measurements and data available from the centre's meteorological station within the university site in the city of Ramadi.

The data included the amount of solar and wind energy generated with illustrations according to the data of the centre's station of radiation and solar energy, in addition to wind speed during the months of July and August.

Dr. Atheer Salim Al-Mawla, head of the meteorological station at the centre, said that the Planning and Databases Department will continue to provide information and detailed data and make them available to researchers, graduate students and those interested in contributing to the dissemination of knowledge using these energies that represent the future of energy in Iraq and the world and to achieve the vision of the centre and the university 2030 to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
