New runoff in the valleys of the western region Saturday 7-1-2023

The terminal staff of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at the University of Anbar continues, for the third consecutive day, the operations of monitoring and measuring runoff events in the western region, where they were monitored and recorded in Sheikh Hadid valley near the city of Haditha, in addition to Benyatha valley, which passes through the site of the College of Basic Education - Haditha.

Engineer Juma'a Mahmoud Ahmed, the in charge of terminal station, stated that a depth of 15 cm (as an average) was recorded in Sheikh Hadid valley, with a discharge rate of 1 cubic meter per second this afternoon, Saturday 7-1-2023.

In Benyatha valley, which passes through the site of the College of Basic Education - Haditha, a water depth of 10 cm was recorded at the measurement station of the terminal station of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre in Haditha, which is located on the valley, where it is hoped that the valley discharges will be recorded as soon as the floods were occurred.

Subsequent statistics will be issued with the total rainfall, runoff events and their discharges in the valleys of the region after completing the monitoring and measurement operations in the rest of the valleys.
