Very important// Alert to record and monitor floods in the western region

The staff of the Haditha terminal station, affiliated to the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre, mobilized since the early morning hours to conduct observations and measurements of the runoff from valleys in the western region, and was able until ten o'clock in the morning, Thursday, 5/1/2023, to complete the first reading of the centre's station on Horan vally, which recorded a depth of 1 m at the measurement station on the valley bridge near the Ramadi-Haditha road, according to Engineer Juma Muhammad Ahmed, the station's employee. While work is continuing at the station's headquarters at the Faculty of Basic Education in Haditha to extract rain data.

On the other hand, work is continuing by the staff of the Planning and Databases Department in the centre's building on campus to extract and record rainfall data, according to Dr. Atheer Salim Al-Mawla, head of the hydrological station at the center on Thursday.

As for the center station in the Rutba district, three readings of the torrents of Horan valley were recorded inside the city of Rutba at the measurement station of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre on the Horan Bridge in the city, and the water levels reached (1.67) m, according to Engineer Ali Saleh, and work is underway during this day, Thursday, to record other readings.
