The Planning and Databases Department issued the latest statistics related to the rainfall wave on 23-24/12/2022 at the stations of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre. Dr. Atheer Salim Al-Mawla, official of the weather station at the centre inside the campus of the University of Anbar, said that the station recorded rainfall depth of (81.8 mm) over two days, by (54.4 mm) on Friday 23/12/2022 and (27.4 mm) on Saturday 24/12/2022, and from reviewing the databases recorded at Ramadi station since 1923 for the same period of the year, i.e. December, it was found that the highest value of rainfall recorded during this month is (53.1 mm) recorded in 1997 to be The value of rain recorded during this month, i.e. December, is the highest in 100 years, as the rainfall lasted about 13 hours continuously.

As for the weather station at the terminal station in Haditha, the rain intensity was much lower, and Mr. Ayoub Youssef Ahmed stated that the amount of rain recorded reached (6.5 mm) on Saturday 24/12/2022. For his part, Engineer Juma'a Mohammed Ahmed said that no floods were detected in the valleys near the city of Haditha this Saturday.
