New waves of floods in the valleys of the western region

In continuation of the UEBDC at the University of Anbar in documenting, recording and measuring data related to rainfall and floods in the western region to establish a continuous and reliable integrated database, data on the floods of the region's valleys were documented and recorded on 11/30/2022. The valleys in the city of Rutba, west of Anbar province, and around it, witnessed heavy floods, especially in the valleys of Horan and Massad, which meet in the north of the city, Engineer Ali Saleh, Director of the Resident Engineer Department for Small Dams in the Western Region, stated that the average rain that fell on the Rutba district on 11/29/2022 reached to 33 mm, while the depth of the runoff at the measurement station of UEBDC on Horan valley and built on the Valley Bridge in the Rutba District reached 95 cm.

Measurements were made to calculate the discharge rate in the valley and calculate the volume of water incomes from these rains, which will be issued statistics from the Planning and Databases Department at the UEBDC during the next few days.
