Master Thesis Discussion on Sedimentation in Ramadi's Rainwater Network

Prof. Dr Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Center, participated as a member in the public scientific discussion of the master's student ((Sahar Maher Yassin)) in the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering for her thesis:

(Modelling Sediment Transport through a Rain stream Drainage System: Ramadi City as a Case Study)

on Tuesday, 1/11/2022 at 9 AM and on the discussion room in the Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering - College of Engineering – University of Anbar.

The study submitted by the student aims to: Guess the quantities and quality of sediments and transport them in the rainwater sewer network, which is one of the important infrastructure and development projects. Three areas were selected in the study area, namely (almo’alimeen District), (Almala’ab District) and (Alshorta District) in Ramadi Downtown, and a sample of sediment and its quality was studied to determine the optimal way to model and identify the problem of sedimentation in these networks.

The discussion committee consisted of:

- Prof. Dr Thaer Sharif Khyoun as a President

- Prof. Ammar Hatem Kamel as a Member

- Prof. Yasser Abdul Majeed Mohammed as a Member
