Rehabilitation of vegetable oil extraction machine

With Almighty Allah assistance, the (Soxhlet extractor) device was rehabilitated, for the extraction of vegetable oils (such as yellow corn, sunflower, oats .... and others), by the staff of the laboratory unit of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center. During the rehabilitation process, modifications were made through which the device (Chiller) with a basin containing cold water with a submersible pump to pump cold water to the condensing part in order to dispense with the aforementioned device to save on the physical condition.

Soxhlet is considered a laboratory device invented by Franz von Soxelt in 1879. The device was originally designed to extract Lipids from solids, but Soxhlet is not limited by extracting lipids; Soxhlet is usually only required when the desired compound has limited solubility in a solvent and the impurities are insoluble in that solvent.

On this occasion, our research center announces its readiness to receive researchers and postgraduate students to conduct their research on this device, with the possibility of holding a course to train researchers and graduate students on the operation and use of the mentioned above device.
