Minutes of administrative council meeting

The periodical meeting (the third session) of the respected members of Board of Directors meeting of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center for the academic year 2020-2021, chaired by Prof. Dr. Isam Mohammed Abdulhameed and attended by the distinguished members of the administrative council. During the meeting, the mechanism of cooperation between the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center and the Prince Sultan Institute for Environmental, Water and Desert Research of King Saud University in Saudi Arabia was discussed, and the meeting has come out with the following matters:-

Establishing of Integrated Renewable Energy Farms (IREF) near the water bodies. For this purpose the council suggests Habbaniyah, Thirthar, and Haditha lakes. The water harvesting dams on the valleys include the following:

v Creating forests (green range).

v The establishing of a living village with housing complexes that rely on renewable energy.

v The establishing of wildlife and poultry breeding nurseries.

v Wind and solar power units.

v The units of biological energy.

v The urban water harvesting units.

v The water recycling units.

v Investment in the construction of a plant to produce solar cell panels to operate manpower and provide the required panels at affordable prices.
