The Secretary General of the Central Library - Anbar University, Dr. Falah Daham Rashid, has agreed with the Secretary General of the Central Library - University of Baghdad Dr. Ghaleb Abdulkarim to organize a visit to the staff of the General Secretariat of the Central Library - Anbar University and the visit will be the first of its kind.

   The Secretary-General of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Ghaleb, received the Secretary General of the Central Library of Anbar University and the staff. The visit is summarized as follows:

First: To familiarize with the work of the supply department, the exchange department, the department and how to arrange the records for each procedure in this section.

Second: To view the cataloging and classification section and how the department works and the global systems used in the classification of all sources of the library, where the section follows more than a global system where the indexing system Winisis and Genesis system in indexing library resources.

Thirdly: To know the work of the loan department and how to lend books to beneficiaries and how to arrange books on the shelves and the way the work of private cards and the borrowing of each book by the beneficiary.

Fourth: To view the Department of Letters and Letters of the university, where will be cooperation with this section by the General Secretariat of the Central Library - Anbar University, where the exchange of special disks and university messages between the two universities.

Fifth: Check the periodicals and references section and how the sections work.

Sixth: Access to the Department of Digital Library, where there is in this section a large number of digital books and periodicals and other digital sources and will be cooperation between the two universities in this area.

Seventh: Department of the United Nations: This section is one of the most important sections of the library, where this section is located only in the library of the University of Baghdad and the University of Basra. This section contains on shelves all publications and books issued by the United Nations. These resources are indexed and classified according to their own system.

At the end of the visit, cooperation between the two universities will be carried out by the efforts of the secretaries of the two libraries.

The General Secretariat of the Central Library of Anbar University has entered the eLibraryUSA database as a first step until the opening of the Information Resource Center with funding from the US Embassy in Baghdad.
